“As they looked around to see who would serve it, the Methodist pastor stood, being the only one who could serve communion in good conscience to all those present because our invitation to the table simply reads: to all those who love Jesus and strive to serve him…welcome.”

Chad- I’m the Andrew from Tony Jones blog. Grace and Peace.
While we might disagree on theology, I wanted to drop in and express my hearfelt joy at seeing you had adopted two children from Ethiopia. A fantastic action, and a pity that it is not done far more widely.

Andrew,
I just replied to you over there but will say here that I bet we agree on the more important things in life and faith.
Where in Aus are you from? When I was in the Navy I was stationed in Bahrain and had a bunch of Aussie friends – most of them from Sydney. Great people.
Happy to know you and thanks for the interaction and kind words!

I think the title of your blog is brilliant! Beautiful picture of inaugurated eschatology…. Dancing on Saturday! Already not yet…. the tension between death and resurrection… between creation and new creation… brilliant!

Thank you, Kurt! Dancing is something I am horrible at (ask my wife) but ever since I first heard the word perichoresis it has become something I aspire to.
I moved domains and hadn’t updated this page in some time, but you might like this:
